This paper presents an experience carried out in the subject Technology and Computer Science, with a high school, course in the 9th grade to 10th grade, in a public school in Bogotá, Colombia. The main objective of this experience was the development and application of a curriculum based on the approach. STEM (Science, technology, engineering and mathematics), in order to enhance their skills and knowledge, which allows them to develop their skills and vocation for engineering careers. A quasi-experimental design was made, with students in the ninth grade. The STEM approach, seeks the contents in a joint disciplinary set, enhancing thought processes and solving problems. The results obtained demonstrate the tendencies and motivation of the students by gender and learning style against careers related to engineering
