Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The petition has not been previously published, nor has it been submitted to another journal (or an explanation provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The file sent is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect format. DIFFERENT FORMATS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
  • Web addresses have been added for references where possible.
  • The text has single spacing; font size is 11 points; italics are used instead of underlining (except URLs); and all illustrations, figures and tables are within the text in their corresponding place and not at the end.
  • The text meets the bibliographic and style requirements indicated in the Guidelines for authors, which can be found in About the journal.
  • It has the Letter of originality and the Letter of authorization for use and distribution of the work, which must be sent to the magazine. WITHOUT THESE LETTERS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO START THE REVIEW PROCESS.

Author Guidelines

The work must be sent through the OJS program, through the journal's website (NOT BY EMAIL).

To send your manuscripts, you must register as an AUTHOR on the link "Login" or "Register" on the main page of the journal http://www.educacioneningenieria.org/ and then click on "New submission".

To make the submitted, you must follow the five steps established in the system:

  1. Verify compliance with the rules for authors (fill in checklist)
  2. Enter the metadata
  3. Upload the manuscript in WORD suitable for blind review (NO .ZIP or any compressed file)
  4. Upload complementary files (letters of use and originality, images, original version of the article as it should be published, i.e. with names of authors and others, etc)
  5. Confirm data.

To avoid inconveniences, these steps must be taken consecutively and in a single session.

Authors interested in submitting their work to the Revista Educación en Ingeniería should follow the presentation rules found in the document Guide for authors.

In addition, the following documents must be completed and sent to the journal:

Curriculum

Artículos relacionados con estrategias curriculares, áreas de conocimiento o formación, experiencias curriculares, tendencias, planes de estudios, duración del pregrado, créditos, titulación, formación por competencias.

Teaching

Artículos relacionados con experiencias pedagógicas comprobadas, sistemas de evaluación, estrategias pedagógicas, nuevos modelos pedagógicos, investigación formativa.

Quality

Temas relacionados con aseguramiento de la calidad en la formación en ingeniería (exámenes de calidad, autoevaluación y acreditación, entre otros).
