Abstract— Higher Education Institutions (HEI) are constantly seeking tools that will enable to offer optimum service quality of higher education in all professions and disciplines offered through their academic programs. In order to achieve this, they offer high quality accreditation methods that recognize hard work and maturity to offer outstanding service and also a way to show the general public they commitment to quality through an external and independent process of elevation and accreditation outside.
The article outlines the state of the international accreditation program for engineering. In particular the proposal outlined by the models of ABET, EUR-ACE and ARCU-SUR. The objective is that the IHS and particularly, the faculty of engineering become familiar with the most common alternatives, their impact and the benefits of each one.
