Abstract

Currently, telecommunications market requirements are becoming more demanding; customers require quick responses and efficient procedures when buying and / or customize their products or services and telecommunications operators (Telco) must address these requirements to be competitive in the market. The problem solution consists in to define appropriate mechanisms for provision of Value Added Services (VAS). According to this context, this article presents an architecture proposal to integrate VAS with IT services based on ESB and SLEE.

The SLEE is used to execute the logic of the VAS in a Next Generation Network (NGN) and to meet the requirements for high availability, high traffic and low latency of the telecommunications domain. ESB and SOA are used for the integration of telecommunications platform and IT systems, which improve the customization, sale and pricing processes of VAS. The proposed architecture offers a weak coupling between the telecommunications infrastructure operator used to deploy the VAS and related operation and maintenance processes.
