Development life-cycles: a latent necessity

Abstract

Currently the developmental life cycles are presented as tools of associated to the software development processes, tools that that allow to guide the phases of a project, its controls, the documentation and the required software engineering processes to obtain products of quality.

In the present written report associated generalities to the processes of development are presented, to the models oriented to objects, to the general characteristics of the cycles of life and the proposals applied to three cycles of life. From the processes of development, topics associates to the elements of quality they are studied, and the strategies that support these processes. A review about the models oriented to objects is carried out from the benefits that contribute and the need of their application nowadays. In the life cycles themes characteristics are studied and advantages and a historical path.

Finally, adaptation example cases are presented and life cycles application to successful cases.
