Problem-based learning, a new experience in engineering education

This document describes the experience lived in the Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad de Manizales referred to the application of the Problems Based Learning PBL-ABP as a strategy that makes possible the interdisciplinary work and in the which the subjects of Programming IV, Data bases II and Analysis and Design II, pertaining to the fifth academic period of the Engineering of Systems and Telecommunications program, were integrated. These subjets belongs to the Applied Engineering area.In addition, it tries to evidence the advantages of colaborativo work, the learning by discovery, the investigation and the own competitions of an engineer in these fields.
