Digital ecosystem in Manizales and surrounding tegion and in Caldas

A digital ecosystem is a reference model of the natural biological ecosystems that has been
successfully implemented in European regions such as digital business ecosystems to make the exploration and the implementation of ICT research and innovation networks of companies more accessible and practical. Its requirements include business intelligence, collaboration, networking and self-adaptation. This article suggests how to implement it in a territory by making intelligence of the territory, using social networks and the management of endogenous capacities, which will involve the productive, academic, public sector and the civil society, outlining a structure for the development of the digital ecosystem in the city-region of Manizales and Caldas (Colombia) and an implementation plan.
