Engineering education continues to solidify its position as a crucial field within higher scientific education. Belonging to the group of technical and vocational subjects within the education supergroup—as defined in the UNESCO Thesaurus—engineering education is becoming an established research field that constantly confronts the new challenges facing both education and the practice of engineering. Thus, by questioning and seeking answers about the best way to train engineers, researchers in the field are dynamically exploring new teaching methods, aiming to improve learning outcomes for their students with the hope that, upon entering professional practice, they will develop engineering with a global perspective.

María Eugenia Guerrero Useda, Asociación Colombiana de Facultades de Ingeniería
Investigadora, escritora y editora colombiana. Dedicada al estudio de temas tales como la política científica, didáctica de la investigación, la formación de ingenieros, contaminación ambiental y análisis de riesgos para el sector minero energético. Autora de varios ensayos y artículos. Directora de seminarios y proyectos de investigación. Ph.D. en Ciencias Físicas y Matemáticas de Moldova State University .
