Nanociencia y nanotecnología en carreras de ingeniería

Resumen

La nanociencia y la nanotecnología son campos interdisciplinarios de la ciencia y la tecnología que han tenido un gran impacto en las últimas décadas. Si bien sus aplicaciones aparecen en todas las ramas de la ingeniería, la formación en nanotecnología para ingenieros se suele restringir a cursos de posgrado. Por ello resulta necesario introducir la temática en etapas de formación más tempranas. En consecuencia, este trabajo presenta un diseño curricular para la enseñanza de nanociencia y nanotecnología en carreras de ingeniería, a nivel de grado. La propuesta se puede incorporar en carreras de ingeniería diversas y fue recientemente implementada en el programa de ingeniería electromecánica de la Universidad Tecnológica Nacional.

Biografía del autor/a

Sandra M. Mendoza, Regional Reconquista, CONICET, Universidad Tecnológica Nacional

Lic. en Química de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Argentina, en 2002. Luego, trabajó en el Zernike Institute for Advanced Materials de la Universidad de Groningen, Holanda, donde se avocó al estudio de máquinas moleculares en superficies. Allí obtuvo su PhD en 2007. Posteriormente y hasta el 2010 trabajó para TNO (Holanda) como líder de proyectos, logrando innovaciones en tecnología de materiales lignocelulósicos. Actualmente se desempeña como investigadora del Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET) y como profesora de la Universidad Tecnológica Nacional (UTN) en carreras de ingeniería, con sede en la ciudad de Reconquista, Argentina. Sus temas de interés son el estudio de materiales avanzados y nanotecnológicos, con énfasis en la caracterización de superficies.
