Cómo lograr alta calidad en la educación de los ingenieros: una visión sistémica

Resumen

La ingeniería es una de las profesiones pilares en el siglo XXI. Los retos que deben afrontar los ingenieros de la sociedad contemporánea, exigen de las escuelas de ingeniería una formación que articule aspectos académicos, científicos, de formación personal y profesional en un marco de alta responsabilidad social. Este artículo presenta una visión sistémica de aquellos factores que intervienen en la formación de alta calidad de los ingenieros que han logrado identificar los autores a partir de una revisión bibliográfica sobre la materia y de los estudios adelantados, con énfasis en aquellos aspectos relacionados con estrategias y prácticas de aula.

Se presenta una visión que incluye seis componentes: estrategias para un aula efectiva, formación profesional en docencia, currículo, gestión académica, ingreso a la universidad y comunidad académica.
