Nanoscience and nanotechnology are interdisciplinary fields of science and technology that have had great impact in recent decades. While applications appear in all branches of engineering, education in nanotechnology for engineers is usually restricted to postgraduate courses. Therefore, it is necessary to introduce the subject at earlier stages of formation. Thus, this paper presents a curricular design for introducing nanoscience and nanotechnology to undergraduate engineers. The proposal can be incorporated into various engineering careers and was recently implemented in the program of Electromechanical Engineering of the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional.Downloads
